Rachel Lafain (She/Her)
Rachel provided support coordination as a sole trader throughout 2020 and 2021, before founding Contemporary Coordination in 2021.

Rachel is a social worker with eight years’ experience working in a wide range of fields including disability, mental health, refugee and multicultural services, LGBTIQA+ services, education, research and community development.

Rachel is able to provide specialist support coordination services. She is highly experienced in supporting people with complex mental health conditions and enjoys assisting people who have an array of talents, dreams, abilities and disabilities. 

In her spare time Rachel enjoys sewing, drinking coffee, being at the beach, live music/theatre and planning trips away.

Rachel does not have current availability to accept new referrals and can recommend another team member to assist.

Ren M (He/Him) 
Ren joined Contemporary Coordination towards the end of 2021 and has a background in disability and training sectors for over 10 years, working for both not-for-profit and government organisations.

Ren has a passion for assisting participants to build their individual capacity to have full choice and control over their daily life, work on their goals through engagement with supports and services and inclusion within their local communities. 

Ren provides support coordination and specialist support coordination services and is fluent in English, and can speak Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil. He has also had the opportunity to live and work in several middle eastern countries. 

In his spare time Ren loves spending time with his young family, gardening and travelling.

Ren has availability for specialist support coordination from February 2024 

Liam-2

Liam D (He/Him)
Liam began working with Contemporary Coordination in early 2022 and has a background assisting people with psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disabilities and neurodivergent people. Prior to being a support coordinator, he has worked as a support and healthcare worker. 

Liam has completed a Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Queensland, graduating with Honours, with his thesis focussed on sexuality discrimination in the workplace. He brings his lived experience of depression to the coaching role.

Liam is a psychosocial recovery coach and support coordinator who specialises in working with children and young people. 

Outside of work, Liam is most interested in reading, coffee and cycling. 

Liam has availability for psychosocial recovery coaching and support coordination from mid December 2023

Phylis C (She/Her)
Phylis joined Contemporary Coordination in 2023 with a background in case management, service planning and support coordination for people living with disability. Phylis has also worked in different Government departments and in the Aged Care sector. 

Phylis’ passion is working collaboratively with participants to achieve their goals one milestone at a time as they exercise full choice and control over their daily life. She has worked with high care needs participants, complex family/guardianship dynamics, participants with restrictive practices and special powers, and transition to employment and independent living.

Phylis has capacity for support coordination and specialist support coordination. She is fluent in English and Swahili language. Phylis also volunteers in her cultural community and her local church that runs a food program, OP shop, tree planting project and a men’s shed. 

Phylis enjoys quality time with family, taking care of poultry and Abba music while not working.

Phylis does not have current availability to accept new referrals.

Praneeta Singh (she/her)
Joining Contemporary Coordination in July 2023, Praneeta brings extensive experience in disability advocacy, case management, and support coordination. With a background in sociology and family therapy, Praneeta is currently in the final stages of completing her studies in social work.

With her compassionate nature and personal drive, Praneeta is committed to assisting individuals in navigating the challenges they may face, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their aspirations. Praneeta is a strong advocate for individuals to have a voice in their own journey, working alongside them for meaningful outcomes.

Praneeta provides both specialist support coordination and support coordination and is fluent in Fiji Hindi and English.

Praneeta values family time, traveling, and socialising over coffee. She is an avid rugby fan and enjoys nurturing her green thumb through gardening.

Praneeta has availability for specialist support coordination from January 2024

Taieri

Taieri Walsh (she/her)
Taieri joined Contemporary Coordination at the end of 2023 and has a background in disability support and team management. 

She is a compassionate, caring and emphatic individual who wears her heart on their sleeve. Taieri is passionate about collaboratively creating a positive environment for and with all those she supports; with a person centred, strength based-approach built on trust and respect. She strives to encourage and assist people to access the tools they need to live an exciting and fulfilling life.  

Taieri provides support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching services and specialises in working with young adults. She brings lived experience with mental health to the coaching role. 

Outside of work Taieri enjoy cooking, traveling, learning about new cultures and reading. 

Taieri has availability for support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching.
